MSC/MSW - Manawatu
MSC/MSW 9th September 2010
Aim to be at Santoft Forest Park ready to start the Single Shooter Competition at 10:00.
Wellington people, you'll probably need to be on the road 07:30ish.
We should be done about 16:00.
Single Shooter Comp
An adjusted version of a Wulfpack training exercise. It is a timed exercise. Respected bragging rights for running in your full kit.
Eight points around a circle to run and shoot, there is also something different to do at each point.
We'll use trees on the flat near the car park area.
Start from standing, weapon on the ground (disconnected if it is a remote line) and mags in pockets.
1. Assemble Weapon, shoot target.
2. Shoot from kneeling.
3. Shoot from prone.
4. Empty magazine at target.
5. Shoot target with off hand.
6. 5 hits from weapon lowered and single shot. Yes that could mean some may have more than 5 attempts.
7. Reload magazine (from speedloader or empty full mag into hand/ground and reload), change magazine and shoot.
8. Shoot middle 'hostile' target to finish, 5 secs added for each 'civilian' target next to it.
Time doesn't actually finish until person has collected all dropped gear (mags, speedloaders etc) from field (consumables shells/powder/paint excluded).
Scenario
Background
Two rebel/militia groups (Judean People's Front and People's Front of Judea) have moved into a region abandoned by the US forces after they were pulled out to deal with the civil unrest in the USA caused by those believing Obama is related to Osama. Each militia group is trying to assert full dominance over the region.
At 15:45 the UN moves in and counts the number of missiles at each base and in the possession of each militia group. 2 seats in the new government for each missile at the base, and 1 seat for each in possession off-base.
Teams
Will be aiming for mixing the MSW and MSC teams. There is a 'randomness' plan, it may create some imbalance that may need to be fixed.
• Judean People's Front: Channel 18
• People's Front of Judea: Channel 22
The only obvious phase in this scenario is the total elimination of the opposing team. Be prepared for the extended time on the field.
Bases
Each team will have a base they are to set anywhere in the field of play. The tarp must be set at least 1 metre off the ground at each corner. There will be a luggage locator with the base. It takes 6 people within 10 metres of the base to move it.
If a base is overrun it can be ..
• Taken over and defended. That'll stop people respawning and getting to spare ammo etc.
• Moved. You must take all the gear under the tarp with you.
• Destroyed and abandoned. Biff a talc grenade in it. Radio in on the other channel. Leave it. They must come back to move it.
Missiles
There are a number of missiles that have been abandoned by the US forces.
Each one must be carried by two people, the two people can only carry the one missile at a time.
If a missile carrier is hit, the other carrier also dies when the missile falls from the dead fingers of the hit.
Medic rule
If you are hit, call it. If needed drop to the ground to get out of the firing line. Medic is two hands on the shoulders for a continuous count of 10 (seconds). You may drag/carry someone to safer ground to medic.
• The medic IS a valid target.
• 10 Minute reincarnation. If you haven't been mediced after 10 minutes, you respawn back at your base.
• Weapon Hits count. If you are carrying a backup RAM or Airsoft weapon you may call 'WEAPON HIT' and go to the secondary, until you have been mediced or hit again.
Most Important
Create and enjoy the spirit of the game.
Have fun.
